AGENDA:

Arturo Tedeschi

9am - 10am

Title:

Crossing disciplines with computational tools and methodologies

Computational designers are for architecture and industrial design what producers are for music. Arturo Tedeschi will show how digital tools, methodologies and design-culture allow to cross the imposed boundaries among design, architecture, art and industry. From footwear to transportation design, from furniture to infrastructure the lecture will be a journey over ten years of built projects and advanced concepts with the common thread of research, style and innovation.

Chantal Matar from Zaha Hadid Architects

10am - 11am

Chantal will talk about different technologies used abstract generative art such as After Effects. Adobe After Effects is a powerful digital visual effect and compositing software by Adobe Systems that is used in film making, different media production, and Motion Graphics. Chantal will explain hows he uses After effects in architecture and design.

BIO:

Chantal Matar is an architect and visual artist, born in Beirut and based in London. Her work explores liminal margins between abstract and conjecture generative art where spatial understanding is continuously changing.

Since 2018 Chantal has been working at Zaha Hadid Architects as a Senior Architect on various high-end international projects in different stages.

Blending her long experience in architectural design and knowledge of digital tools, Chantal aims her exploration at alien landscapes, linear formations and digital strata that lie on the threshold of spatial chaos and structural continuum.

11am - 11.30am - MORNING TEA BREAK
