We will give a brief overview of acoustic finishes, common materials used in their construction, common uses of these finishes, along with insight into their manufacture & installation. We will offer industry guidance on how to best realise architectural intent with quality finish, reducing cost at a time of high-cost pressure. We will share failures and successes that specifiers and designers can learn from, and we will talk about the future of interior acoustics – from industry support in formulating design options, make-ability, and new technologies for re-using and recycling product at end-of-life.

Learning outcomes:

  • A new glue-free, pre-fabricated, panel and install system.
  • An understanding of where to use acoustic finishes.
  • How to specify materials maximising effect and value.
