Teulo Talks
The Circular Economy is a regenerative system where resources are kept in use for as long as possible, waste and pollution are minimised, and natural systems are restored.
It’s one of the many systems adopted by architects and manufacturers on a mission to reduce their impact on the planet, and with it comes mind-blowing innovation, enriched sustainability movements and endless possibilities. Whether you’re working with new building materials or navigating creative design solutions, our speakers will explore circular economy and sustainability concepts and how they interface with challenges of the future. Yasmin Asan
Voxell Architects
In her talk, Yasmin Asan makes her case for embracing metaverse architecture through integrating emerging tech tools into our daily practice hence paving the way to evolution.
Why are architects the creators of the metaverse? The spaces they design—interiors, buildings, campuses and cities are born as meta spaces and they are already realistic-looking virtual environments, using VR and AR tools for a more immersive experience of the space. The metaverse is a place where architects can push formal boundaries and redefine what “space” means. She tells her own experience of working as a real-life architect then transitioning towards virtual architecture as well, while showcasing projects from both worlds.

Talk topic: The Future of Design is Circular: Beyond Product & Materials to System Design
“Design is central in the transition to the circular economy, any designer working in a modern commercial setting must understand the key principles and be able to apply them in their work.” Chris Grantham, IDEO
There is a growing acceptance that the global transition to a circular economy is asking different questions: about the ecological footprint of our linear-based built environments, how flourishing communities of the future need to be reimagined, how to be future-fit for climate impacts, how can you have endless growth in a finite biosphere?
Debbie will talk about key Circular Economy concepts and how they interface with the challenges of the future.
