Event Description

10.00am - Mark Landkroon | Belcanto - Building Performance

This CPD webinar explores how Belcanto's Attaché Balustrading and architectural metal systems enable architects and designers to deliver high-performance, visually refined building envelopes with greater speed and certainty.

The session introduces the design intent, technical composition, and application of Attaché systems across balustrades, louvres, pergolas, window shrouds, and canopies. It explores Single-source design, fabrication, and installation by the Belcanto team with a large range of extrusion shapes for project customisation.

Attendees will gain insight into:

  • In house design, off-site manufacture, and National Installation as an effective response to the challenges of traditional construction.
  • Key detailing considerations for external envelopes in New Zealand conditions, including waterproofing, thermal performance, and wind resistance
  • Compliance pathways, including alignment with NZBC requirements and relevant standards
  • Specification strategies, including integration into architectural drawings and BIM workflows
  • The role of customisation, sustainability, and lifecycle performance in balustrading, louvre, and other architectural metal designs

Through real-world examples and case studies, the presentation demonstrates how Attaché systems support efficient delivery, consistent quality, and design flexibility across multi-story medium density

11.15am - Garth Moran | Altex Coatings | Carboline
