Event Description

London-based Architect and PhD Fellow, Bogdan Zaha is the Co Founder of en{coded}fields and Lead Architect at Zaha Hadid Architects. He studied at Ion Mincu University in Bucharest and the Faculty of Architecture in Timisoara, Romania before studying and graduating from the University of Applied Arts’ Studio Zaha Hadid in Vienna where he is currently a PhD research fellow.

Bogdan describes parametricism as a paradigm shift in architecture. How is it being used to create a better correlation between form and function in modern design. He also discusses how important it is for architects to incorporate the context of localised issues and social heuristics into their designs. Teaching has always played a major role in Bogdan's career, he talks about his professional practice and the academic overlap.
