Event Description

This session explains the role of independent sustainability certifications in the specification of paints and coatings for building projects, with a focus on Global Green Tag certifications used by Dulux. It explores how certifications such as Green Tag and Product Health Declarations support healthier indoor environments, responsible material selection, Green Star compliance, and transparency in sustainable building practices.

Key Learning Outcomes

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Define an ecolabel; distinguish verification, certification and declaration; explain transparency and declaration clearance.
  • Identify ISO standards for environmental claims/labels: ISO 14024 (T1), ISO 14021 (T2), ISO 14025 (T3), ISO 17067 (T5).

  • State requirement for a Global GreenTag Product Health Declaration™: 100% transparency to 100 ppm (ingredient toxicity info).
  • Explain HealthRATE™ as a standalone end-user “healthiness in use” rating.
